Live from the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues on Coney Island, Jeremy Schaap and Major League Eating President Rich Shea return to host Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest!
Joey Chestnut and top-ranked female eater Miki Sudo are back as the impressive duo look to retain their mustard belts. Chestnut will look to break his world record of 76 hot dogs and buns (2021), while Sudo will try to top her 51 hot dogs and buns mark (2024).
“There is no event on the calendar that better captures the spirit of America than the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest,” Schaap said in a statement. “There is nowhere I would rather be than the corner of Surf and Stillwell on our nation’s 250th anniversary. If the founding fathers were still alive, I am certain they would want to be with us at Nathan’s on the Fourth of July.”
I mean… would they? I feel like they’d have more pressing issues, but I admittedly don’t know their thoughts on hot dogs, competitive eating, and/or the sights and sounds of Coney Island, New York. Agree to disagree, I guess! But let’s get back to business.

Coverage of the women’s competition starts at 10:45 a.m. ET on ESPN+ and the ESPN App, with the men’s contest set to begin at noon ET on ESPN2. This year’s hot dog eating competition will also air on ABC and ESPN+, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.
