Five people were shot Saturday night in Coney Island, Brooklyn, including ages five and seven, ages 5 and 7, police sources told NBC New York.

The shooting happened on Surf Ave. near the amphitheater. As of Saturday night, all the victims were reported to be alive. No conditions were immediately released. It’s not clear if this happened during July 4th fireworks celebrations or what led to the mass shooting.

A source tells NBC New York the shooting is believed to have happened outside.
