Google co-founder Sergey Brin has been linked to the purchase of Lake Tahoe’s most expensive home in what appears to be an attempt to flee California’s crushing “billionaire tax.”

Brin has ties to the newly created Alpine Bay LLC, which quietly bought the sprawling waterfront mansion last month for a cool $42 million, Bloomberg News reported.

The Nevada home sits just across the California border — putting it just out of reach of a 5% tax on the state’s billionaires that was recently proposed in a ballot measure.

The tech titan reportedly closed on the home, known as Crystal Pointe, on Dec. 5 through the LLC, which was created just a month prior.

Alpine Bay LLC is registered to an address in Reno and its listed manager is a San Francisco lawyer who in December also transferred five other California-based LLCs tied to Brin to the same address, according to Bloomberg.

Brin’s girlfriend Gerelyn Gilbert-Soto has also reportedly posted photos flaunting the new digs on her private social media account.

Crystal Pointe was on the market for eight years and had gone through several major price cuts by the time Brin scooped it up.

At one point, the home was going for a jaw-dropping $75 million, the highest ever on record for the area.

Known as the “crown jewel” of Lake Tahoe, Crystal Pointe boasts 16,232 square feet of living space, including seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a 10-seat theater, a 1,687-bottle wine cellar and 13 fireplaces.

The cliffside mansion also has 525 feet of lakefront property, complete with two boat lifts, a seasonal boat barge and its very own beach house — which is separate from the guest home and caretaker’s apartment, with an oversized four-car garage.

The plot sits on 5.14 acres with unbeatable views of the lake, and its grounds include “magical gardens with ponds and waterfalls” as well as two of its own funiculars, according to an old real estate listing.

Most importantly for Brin, the property lies squarely in Nevada — but less than half a mile from the California border.

Both he and fellow Google co-founder Larry Page have been taking steps to relocate out of the Golden State in recent months, with Page buying up two massive Miami estates for a combined $188 million earlier this month.

Billionaires like Peter Thiel and David Sacks have also fled California.
