Pete Davidson is returning to Netflix. But this time, it’s not with another stand-up special. Instead, the Saturday Night Live star is set to host his own video podcast for the streamer.
Netflix announced the comedian will host the all-new podcast series, The Pete Davidson Show, offered exclusively on the streaming platform. Much like the iconic garage studio Marc Maron records WTF with Marc Maron Podcast, Davidson’s video podcast will be filmed in Davidson’s garage, “where all the best conversations happen,” he said in a statement.
“Netflix was the home of one of my first stand-up specials,” Davidson said in a statement. “So it felt right to bring the podcast there, too. It’s me and my friends talking about anything and everything. It’s going to be a great time.”
Netflix also shared the show may hit the road at some point.
Marc Lieberman will produce the podcast alongside Saturday Night Live producer Ayala Cohen. Sarah Brennan Kolb will direct.
This marks Davidson’s latest project for the streamer. His previous comedy specials Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli (2024) and Pete Davidson: Alive from New York (2020 both premiered on Netflix, and he also hosted Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends.
Davidson’s new video podcast marks the latest title to join Netflix’s growing podcast slate.
While the streamer has nabbed streaming rights for popular series such as My Favorite Murder and The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Pete Davidson Show highlights the streamer’s willingness to also develop original podcast content.
Netflix also recently announced The White House, an original sports video podcast hosted by Michael Irvin as well as an official companion podcast for Bridgerton, hosted by Alison Hammond.
Netflix already offers a star-studded slate of podcasts, including Chelsea Handler’s podcast Dear Chelsea, The Dave Chang Show, and This Is Important featuring Workaholics actors Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson.
The Pete Davidson Show premiere Friday, Jan. 30 at 3:01 a.m. EST with new episodes dropping every Friday.
It remains to be soon who will appear on The Pete Davidson Show.
