A stunning mid-century Los Angeles home once owned by Olympic gold medalist, and longtime snowboard prodigy, Shaun White has hit the market for $4.99 million.
White — who spent New York’s recent blizzard snowboarding in Central Park to the delight of the internet — called fellow Olympian Lindsey Vonn a “legend” as NBC’s commentator at the Winter Olympics. “You inspire us all,” he later said after her heartbreaking crash out of the games.
In LA, the property on Carman Crest Drive is currently owned by retired Louis Vuitton exec Michael Silvaggio, who bought it from White for $3.99 million in 2024. (White purchased the dwelling for $3.7 million in 2018.)
White, who was engaged to Nina Dobrev until September, recently toured the residence and, we hear, loved it so much that he briefly considered buying it back.
Built in 1955, the home has since undergone a full renovation from Studio Veren.
The three-bedroom, two-bath spread is around 2,000 square feet. It features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that frame the city’s skyline — as well as the hikers in Runyon Canyon.
“The view is sensational, whether you are in the kitchen or the living room, morning, noon or night. It is completely captivating,” Silvaggio told Gimme Shelter.
“The space washes over you, creating a sense of comfort while still feeling elevated and sophisticated. That was the intention — to create a home that feels sensual and warm, yet undeniably refined,” Silvaggio said.
Listing broker Chase Rogers, of the Beverly Hills Estates, was more succinct.
“It’s bad ass,” he told Gimme. “You can see people walking up the trail. You have a clean shot of the people and the city. The views are framed and have a bigger impact and ‘wow’ than your typical skyline view,” he added.
Inside, the custom furnishings, handcrafted for each room, come with designer fabrics. There’s also a two-car garage with a Tesla charger.
The house also has a new roof, new windows, wide-plank floors and custom walnut cabinetry. A chef’s kitchen features a custom banquette with panoramic views. Even the exterior has had a glow up, wrapped in cinderblock, with flagstone terraces and landscaped grounds.
“The house has an edgy, cool vibe to it,” Rogers said. “Cinderblock wraps the facade of the house and the same wood is in the living room. There is a lot of continuity.”
