I’m not much of a DIY-er, but I’ve fallen in love with an electric screwdriver I bought after seeing some very convincing TikTok videos about it. I can’t and won’t stop singing it’s praises, as evidenced by the countless Slack messages I have written my colleagues on the shopping team here to spread the good word to our readers. So please humor me and excuse this overly gushy love letter to the Fanttik Nex E1 Max electric screwdriver while I call attention to the fact that it’s also only $48 (marked down from $70) right now.
Regardless of how handy you might consider yourself, there are certain items every person should have in their toolbox. A hammer, a tape measure, and a screwdriver are the basic essentials. I got my Fanttik in 2024 when I finally had enough of manually twisting and turning every screw on every piece of furniture that came into my apartment. I thought I would only really use it on those rare occasions when I had something new to assemble, but it seems like I find a new excuse to bust it out on a weekly basis.
Why bother with a whole set of screwdrivers when you can get all of the bits you need in this convenient little set? The Nex E1 Max comes with 50 magnetic pieces that easily slip on and off to help you tackle any number of projects. I’ve used it for quick things like fixing my glasses and changing the batteries on a Hanukkah decoration, as well as bigger tasks like putting together bedroom furniture.
It operates at a manageable speed and has a built-in light, which is a feature I have found myself relying on more than I ever expected. The battery life is unreal. I truly don’t think I’ve had to charge it a single time since I started to use it.
People who regularly tackle more extensive construction projects may have different opinions…but for general, everyday use, the Nex E1 Max has been clutch. I have ended up needing it so often that I keep it in a spot more easily accessible than the toolbox buried at the bottom of my coat closet.
I paid the full price when I bought mine, and I’m not being facetious when I say it’s the best $70 I ever spent, given how much use I’ve gotten out of it. The fact that you can now score one at a significant discount would normally miff me, but in this case, I’m just hoping it might convince more folks to give this blessed tool a try.
