The Summer House reunion wrapped filming not even 24 hours ago, and there are already production leaks. In an audio recording that’s making rounds on social media, Amanda Batula can be heard defending her relationship with West Wilson, while Ciara Miller slams her former best friend as a “snake in the grass.”
The highly anticipated sit-down came weeks after Batula and Wilson confirmed they were seeing each other romantically. Up until that point, the two had been denying romance rumors to their fellow Summer House castmates, including Miller, who, as we know, was left heartbroken over her past situationship with Wilson.
The two-minute recording, seemingly taken from Batula and Wilson’s side of the couch, begins with Kyle Cooke, Batula’s estranged husband, confronting his ex-wife and former close friend for their betrayal. While it’s unclear exactly who he’s addressing, he does call one of them “schmuck.” Miller’s best friend, Mia Calabrese, then chimes in with a question for Batula.
“Amanda, why are you doing this?” she asks. “You went from being married, and I’m not saying your relationship was perfect, but you went from being married to being one of West’s side bitches? That’s crazy. This is unnecessary.”
Wilson explains that the joint statement they posted was “incredibly rushed,” as Batula reveals why they decided to confirm the rumors when they did. Per the Amanda Batula Swim founder, it had everything to do with the rumors that there was a video circulating of her and Wilson being intimate that was taken through his apartment window. “The last thing I wanted was for us to continue denying it, and for this video of me taken in a very vulnerable, intimate situation to be used as blackmail or released publicly,” she says. When confronted by Miller, Batula admits that she “denied” the rumors and “lied” to her.
“It was all so new, and I was figuring it out. There were so many layers and complications to this — the fact that he was seeing other people, the fact that I was technically still married,” Batula adds, to which Miller replies, “It was so conscious that you guys talked about it. It wasn’t just like a drunk hookup. You guys talked about it. You [talked] about how fucking weird it would be, and you still did it.”
Batula continues to defend their relationship, telling Miller that she “can’t help” who she’s attracted to—a line Miller used to refer to her own situation with Wilson in Season 10 of Summer House—and that she “wasn’t married anymore.” When Miller points out that she is still legally married to Cooke, Batula fires back, “I’m sorry, but when I’m separated from someone, I have to stay celibate and single for the rest of my life until the judge signs paperwork?”
That sets Miller off.
“Nobody’s saying that you need to stay celibate or what-the-fuck-ever, but there are a million other fucking guys in New York City, but you chose one that — and you know how much that fucked me up — you chose the one guy,” she fumes. “You’re a fucking snake, Amanda. You’re a snake in the fucking grass, is what you are. You’re a snake in the grass and you should honestly just say OK because you know you are. You move silent, but you’re fucking deadly.”
As expected, Andy Cohen—who teased an “intense” reunion on his Instagram Story last night—was not thrilled with the overnight audio leak. “People laid their souls out emotionally for ten hours yesterday and it’s disgusting and illegal for someone to leak or distribute this,” he wrote on Threads this morning. “It’s disrespectful to the work and tears the cast put in yesterday. Let the season play out. You will see it all in due time.”
