Less than one week after the official squad was revealed, the USMNT will hit the pitch in the first of a duo of pre-World Cup friendlies.

First up, the team, led by captain Tim Ream and veteran Christian Pulisic, will head to North Carolina to face Senegal.

The two teams are closely matched according to their FIFA world rankings, with the USA sitting at No. 16 and Senegal slightly ahead at No. 14. However, the USMNT struggled last time they played in March, losing against global powerhouses Belgium and Portugal.

Senegal is one of the top teams in Africa and won its last two March matches against Peru and The Gambia.
