The World Cup quarterfinals continue today with another matchup featuring a tournament favorite.

Spain, the reigning European champs, are among the shrinking group of favorites left in the World Cup. With a spot in the semifinals at stake, they’ll face Belgium today, July 10.

La Roja continued their historic shutout streak with another clean sheet in the Round of 16 victory against Portugal. Goalkeeper Unai Simón’s World Cup shutout streak currently sits at 609 minutes and extends back to the 2022 World Cup, where he entered a 2-1 loss to Japan in a group play finale.

After mounting an incredible 3-2 comeback against Senegal in the Round of 32, Belgium advanced to face host country United States in the Round of 16. The Red Devils’ offense exploded for a 4-1 victory, eliminating the USA from the tournament.
