9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 Cast: Ryan Phillipe Crashes Music City

One BIG change 9-1-1: Nashville fans can expect in the sophomore season? Ryan Phillippe is joining the cast! As Deadline reported on April 20, Phillippe is joining the first responder drama as a series regular and is said to have a multi-year deal.

Here’s how Deadline describes his role: “…A brilliant, iconoclastic detective who moves to Nashville from New York. A seductive bad boy with a past, he’ll stir up all kinds of juicy drama with our first responders while leading an investigation into a mysterious criminal tormenting Nashville on a biblical scale.” What a hook!

Phillippe brings even more star power to the 9-1-1 spinoff, and his induction into the 9-1-1 universe opens a door for a potential I Know What You Did Last Summer reunion with OG series star Jennifer Love Hewitt. The 51-year-old actor amassed nearly 80 film and TV credits since kicking off his on-screen career in 1993 and is well-known for Cruel Intentions, ShooterCrash, and more major titles. (Also never forget he had a perfect role selling Ryan Phillippe Steaks in I Love That for You. RIP!)
