After being unsure whether he would go under the knife at the end of the season, Ryan Pulock did indeed opt for shoulder surgery, an Islanders spokesman told The Post on Friday.

He is expected to be ready for training camp.

While the specifics of the procedure are unknown, Pulock said on breakup day he had been dealing with the injury “throughout the year.”

He was clearly limited over the last few weeks of the season, having suffered a knee injury as well, though that is expected to heal on its own.

“For me, it was a bit of a grind at times,” Pulock said. “Trying to compete every night. Had to play through some things. I’m not gonna sit here and make excuses. I think either way, I wish I could have been better, especially down the stretch.”

Mat Barzal was officially named to Team Canada’s roster for World Championships.

He joins Emil Heineman (Sweden), Simon Holmstrom (Sweden) and Danny Nelson (USA) as Isles players and prospects who will head to Switzerland for the tournament.
