Lawrence Taylor is in the hospital dealing with “a stomach-related issue,” and while the matter does not appear to be life-threatening, it’s unclear when he’ll be released, his attorney told The California Post on Monday.

Mark Eiglarsh, a Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based lawyer, said in a statement that his client entered a medical facility on April 20 and has been receiving treatment from doctors since.

“He remains under medical observation,” Eiglarsh said, “and is showing signs of improvement.”

However, Eiglarsh added the NFL legend’s “discharge date has not yet been determined.”

“Lawrence asks that I convey his sincere gratitude to everyone who has been thinking of him and keeping him in their prayers during this challenging time,” Eiglarsh said.
