Livvy Dunne reveals Paul Skenes’ reaction to her new SI Swimsuit pictures

Olivia “Livvy” Dunne said boyfriend Paul Skenes was nothing short of positive in his reaction to her work with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

Dunne, who made her debut with SI Swimsuit in 2023 and graced its cover last year, told People this week that Skenes, the Pirates ace, is fully supportive of her photo shoots with the magazine.

“I texted him. I was like, ‘Hey, the SI photos are out.’ And he’s like, ‘Where can I see them?’” she said, adding that she sent him a link to the photos online. “As if he doesn’t know.”

“I was like, ‘Just look at everything,’” she added. “He loved it. Yeah, he loved it. He always does.”

Dunne, who was one of SI Swimsuit’s four cover stars in Bermuda in 2025, said that it has been “an honor” to work with the magazine.

“The fact that they keep asking me back — I’m just so flattered,” she said. “Every year, I feel like it just keeps getting better and it’s a new group of girls every year.

“This group of girls are amazing, so it’s just really an honor.”

Dunne, 23, has been dating the pitcher since the two were students at LSU in 2023, with the two confirming their relationship shortly after Skenes, 23, was drafted by the Pirates.

Skenes has opened up how traveling with Dunne can get tricky, considering their busy schedules, telling the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in January that the two don’t get to spend mornings together.

“I think Liv probably gets tired of traveling with me,” Skenes said then. “We might spend four days somewhere, but it’s really two because half of each day — the morning — is for me to train.

“We don’t get mornings. She can do whatever she needs to do in the morning. But we do not get mornings.”

In February, Dunne told People that she and Skenes are able to navigate their long-distance relationship by being “super present” with each other while they are spending time together.

“Honestly, I don’t think we have any rules,” she said. “I just think being super present with one another while you’re together, while you have that time together, is super important.”

“I mean, he makes time to come to my events. I make time to go watch him pitch. I try to make every start I can,” she added.
