The police presence at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming Madison Square Garden wedding will reportedly cost a hefty six-figure sum.
More than 70 detectives from New York City precincts are expected to work the high-profile nuptials, according to TMZ.
The outlet claimed the cops will be doing 8.5 hour shifts at $80 to $90 an hour at Thursday’s intimate rehearsal dinner and Friday’s star-studded ceremony.
Additionally, high-ranking NYPD sources alleged 50-plus officers — described as “rookies making $70 an hour for a 9-hour shift” — will be on site.
TMZ estimated the detectives will cost $95,200 at minimum, with the rookies being $63,000 more, for a total of $158,200.
Higher-ups in the police force are also expected to be on hand, which would bring the staggering cost past $160,000.
Reps for Swift, Kelce and the NYPD did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The couple, notably, were initially planning a June wedding in Rhode Island — but reportedly pivoted to the Big Apple over security concerns.
Safety was “the main issue,” a source told Us Weekly on Sunday.
“Rhode Island wasn’t great because the nature of the access and the perimeters were too difficult to secure,” the insider explained over the weekend.
The outlet also alleged, “So many people wanted to come that plans had to change because it became bigger.”
Page Six hears the event will be massive, with more than 1,000 guests watching Kelce and Swift, both 36, walk down the aisle.
This is a developing story…
