New York is close enough for Tate McRae.
The Canadian singer-songwriter and dancer is on the Knicks train for their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999.
Following the Knicks’ 105-95 Game 1 win Wednesday night, McRae shared from photos from her night on Thursday through two Instagram stories.
McRae, seeming in a car, posted an image wearing a Knicks shirt with the caption: “Go Knicks.”
She also added a mirror selfie post to show off her full outfit.
McRae, 22, sported her blue Knicks tee with black jeans and black opened toed shoes along with a little black shoulder bag.
Her fandom could have been influenced from boyfriend and Devils hockey star Jack Hughes after spending time just across the Hudson in New Jersey.
The two were heavily featured across the headlines earlier in the year.
In February, Hughes was the United States men’s hockey hero with his gold-medal-winning goal over Canada in the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, which earned USA its first Olympic gold in the sport since 1980 “Miracle on Ice.”
On his celebration circuit, Hughes, 25, went to Miami with his teammates before going to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.
McRae, a Calgary native, also was in the news cycle during the Games, receiving criticisms for appearing on an NBC ad featuring American athletes. Still, she clarified on her Instagram story that she was “Canada down.”
A month later in March, US Weekly confirmed that the two are “exclusively” dating.
Dating rumors swirled around the couple in late 2025.
McRae and Hughes were spotted on a dinner date in November before they were also seen on a walk in New York in December just a day after the pop star attended a Devils home game.
“[Tate] thinks [Jack] is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together,” the source told US Weekly. “She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on.”
