Tourists from around the world found themselves at the center of a “very cool” New York City moment Friday night, wandering to Madison Square Garden as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot inside the iconic venue.
“I wish they did this in Chicago,” Charlie Kiley, a data analyst visiting from the Windy City, said outside the World’s Most Famous Arena as digital billboards announced “JUST&T MARRIED!”
“I felt like I couldn’t be in New York City and miss out on this spectacle,” said Kiley, who was in town for the Fourth of July festivities.
“It’s pretty amazing how they shut down all the streets and it’s just such a big production that it’s exciting to come check it out. I’m a fan of Swift, and then I went to the same university as Kelsey.”
Some visitors traveled from overseas to stop by the heavily-secured Garden as, inside, Swift and Kelce were celebrating their nuptials with over 1,000 guests, including a who’s who of A-list celebrities.
Tiffany Hwang, 21, from Taiwan, and her friend Jason Lee, 21, wished the belle and beau all the best as a married couple.
“I wish them a very blessed and good life together,” Hwang told the Post, adding that she wants “a life full of love” for them.
Hwang said she loves “her songwriting very much.”
“And the stories in the songs,” Lee added.
Siearie Smith, 36, stumbled upon the hubbub of MSG completely by accident while traveling with her mother from Minnesota.
While sightseeing in Times Square they noticed the “JUST&T MARRIED!” sign outside the arena.
“We were coming over here to sight see and then we see ‘just married’ and we knew Taylor Swift was getting married,” she explained.
“For one person’s wedding this is very cool.”
Sadiel Saavedre 30, of Miami waited outside MSG for hours in hopes of catching a glimpse of his favorite artist.
“I’m a huge fan,” he told The Post. “I identify with the music, the lyrics.”
